Summer Project Update

Jul 14, 2014 12:00 am

Summer is definitely here and most of us are getting time for some well earned vacation time.

Rochelle is moving forward as planned with its solar plant at the water treatment plant.  We have received great feedback on our commercial solar roof plant incentive from all over the US.  We are reviewing the potential cost segregathion and Federal Schedule 179D Deduction effects on shared renewable energy tax credits for all projects as well as added business case value of frequency regulation investments. Do remember that Rochelle is behind the meter. Come in and talk to us so we can check our riders and ordinances.

We also received good responses on our website following the Chicago Data Center conference. We have updated some of our economic development information on the City of Rochelle site (www.cityofrochelle.net) so please check our updates.

Thank you for reading.  Hope your summer is as excellent as mine and talk to you soon!

Rochelle participated in the National Data Center Summit Series - Third Annual Greater Chicago & Midwest Data Center Summit Conference in downtown Chicago on Thursday June 12th. We had a booth and I was on the panel for the session on "Emerging Secondary Markets & Site Selection Debate". We had the chance to meet up again with members of the industry that we had earlier met while on the road.

Solar Plant Incentive Offered
